Life is Hard, but God is So Good

This past weekend, Matthew and I attended the Teach Them Diligently convention. It was geared toward homeschooling parents but also focused highly on childrearing in general. I've always considering raising children to be an important task, but with all the new insight I gained at the convention, I'm more than ever thankful to know that Matthew and I can "approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). My next post will be a recap of the help I did receive from the speakers at the convention. This post is a reminder to myself of why we attended it. There are three reasons really...

Philip, my super hero / best big brother around!

Braewyn, my little chef in the making / best big sister around!

and Juliet, my baby who's really NOT a baby anymore!

I thank my Lord Jesus for these three blessings. They direct me back to Him because I cannot do this thing called motherhood in my own ability.
Quoting the Apostle Paul, I am grateful to say, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me" (2 Cor. 12:9).
