Mom's Second Surgery

Mom and Dad met with her surgeon last Thursday. Her second surgery (to reverse the ileostomy bag) will be on Thursday, May 18th. Easy to remember by saying four days after Mother's Day. We will have a joyous yet anxious Mother's Day together this year. Her surgery will begin at 11:30am. Please keep Mom and Dad in your prayers as this date approaches. Mom is thinking very positively, but is still nervous due the length of stay and complications from her first surgery (it was 12 days if you've forgotten). Also, the recovery from this surgery won't be as extensive as it was from the first, but her body will be readjusting to expelling solid wastes like the rest of us so that may take some time to fine tune. (That was written very tastefully if I do say so myself. Maybe "tastefully" was the wrong word to use for the subject matter!) As before, I will keep you posted via this blog.
