We've Hit Double Digits!

With a newborn in the house and calculating his age by weeks, it's hard to believe Sully's biggest brother has hit double digits in years!  Back on January 22, Philip turned 10... 520 weeks old!  I wouldn't want to relive my teenage years, but to be a ten year old seems to be a pretty good deal. Here's how Philip spent his birthday.

8:00 am Morning YouTube watching with Braewyn

9:00 am Odd Squad on PBS and waffles for breakfast

10:00 am Reading a Bible storybook to Rylan

11:00 am Grammar in bed and pj's because it's your birthday

12:00 pm Toast pizza for birthday lunch!

1:00 pm Birthday outing with Nana and Papa (Philip didn't know where he was going)

2:00 pm Movie time watching "Paddington" at the new NCG theater followed by dinner at Subway

6:00 pm Basketball practice

8:00 pm Family time with Grandma too. Birthday presents!

Philip's quadruple chocolate cake... chocolate cake, chocolate chips in the batter, chocolate icing, chocolate sprinkles.  He loves chocolate!

Me and my boy!!!

9:00 pm End of the day watching "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" with Daddy

We are so thankful to have our tenderhearted, ready-to-be-a-man, God-fearing son Philip.  Love you so much!!!

And then there were five...

Of course we all love our new little Sully, but our four oldest children are each pretty awesome too!

Philip is ten, likes playing basketball and football, watching Minecraft videos on YouTube, and reading "How To Train Your Dragon" books.

Braewyn is seven, has recently come to like reading "Frog and Toad" books, loves watching cake decorating videos on YouTube, and making crafty stuff out of random stuff.

Juliet is three, is almost always joyful (expect when she's very angry!), enjoys going on errands with anyone who will take her, and likes to walk our dog, Chloe, around the inside of the house on the leash.

Rylan is 20 months old, always rambunctious, loves balls and cars, and makes everyone smile with his silly faces.

Sully is now one-month-old and overall a very happy baby who only cries during diaper changes and when he's ready to eat.

Just for the record, I did have a huge crush on this Sully from "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" when I was in high school, but we did not name our baby after him.  (Remember the picture of Sully from Monsters, Inc. last time?)

And to counter-balance the high school crush Sully, there's also this reputable Sully, Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, who saved many lives when he landed a commercial plane onto the Hudson River.

And I might just have to watch "Avatar" sometime as this guy's name is Jake Sully.
